Redang Trip 19th to 22nd June'09

Day 1:
Assembled at Ngee Ann around 8.30pm.
checked equipments etc. and set off to redang island! :)
cleared custom & there. it was that 10hours of bus ride.
the 10hours there wasn't that bad bcos 10pm to 8am were normal sleeping hours.
so reached jetty at 8.30am in the morning? and that was day 2 alr. lol


Day 2:
boat only leaves jetty at 9.30am.
so we went to walk around stalls near the jetty.
boat sets off at 9.30 and arrives at redang island kalong resort abt half an hours later.
checked into rooms & prepared for our 1st dive!

my 1st dive was kinda screwed cos i usually use 4weights.
but this time, the dive master insisted that i should only take 2. he say i 2 enough alr. aha.
so went down wf 2 weights but i couldn't descend. couldn't sink.
dive master came to help me.

2nd dive was much much better cos i'm getting use to 2 weights alr.
saw triggerfish, turtles, jelly fishes etc. took piccas! my first trip wf underwater camera housing! :)
3rd dive, we had to fight currents.
currents were damn strong. if we don't fin, cfm drift away.
heng i got my V16 seriously. heng.

estella, Qingpei, Joel & i slept like logs after the dive.
got up for dinner at 7pm.
night was spent at some bar at the other side of redang island.
a lil chivas wf mixer & went onto the dance floor. zomg.
was like a wooden log la. heng estella & rest just pulled me to do some r dance. lol! damn funny!
back to sleep around 1 i guess?



Day 3:
got up EARLY in the morning for our first dive. super shag.
experienced a lot of thermocline during this trip.
fin fin fin, suddenly water damn warm, suddenly damn damn cold. lol
was expecting to see sharks but saw none:(
strong currents too.
second & last dive for the day, saw alot ALOT of jelly fishes.
they were damn close to us, and alot of them.
snapped pictures underwater tooooo.
learning how to take nice nice nemo shots. :)

night was spent at our resort, drying our equipments etc.
and we went to see good stuff during low tide.
saw octupus! and they were hunting fishes! too bad i dint bring my camera along if not can see the video of the octupus hunting fishes laaa! GRR



Day 4:
got up EARLY in the morning again.
set off back to Singapore at 8.30am.
boat leaves and back to jetty, boarded the bus and 10 hours of bus ride again.
this time, the 10hours damn torturing. cos its in the morning.
had quite a number of stops on the way back.
cleared custom & back to Singapore!
